This hub is the toolbox for Defender of the Crown: The Legend Returns after the August 2026 launch. None of these pages are toy widgets that invent army calculators the game does not show. Pick a mode without a speech
The mode advisor is a checklist version of the Modes Hub. If you want the 1986 campaign, it sends you to Retro. If you want that campaign with a HUD, Classic. If you want a run that still pays you when you die, Kingdom. Use it when two friends are arguing over a shared TV.
Hands and hardware
Controls covers the fact that Steam lists full controller support, that Retro was rebuilt specifically so a pad would work, and that Classic’s action wheel is the point of the modern UI. Keyboard still exists on PC. Steam Deck is supported at launch without a promised Verified badge. If a minigame feels floaty, change the device before you change the lord.
System requirements reprints the Steam minimums and recommended specs, notes the 1 GB install, and collects what launch reviews said about Deck battery and Linux. The game is not a ray-traced brag. It is a 19.99 package that should run on a 2013 GPU if the store page is honest.
Geography
The map page is a reading of the strategic island: coloured territories, castle icons, the turquoise water, and why fog in Kingdom is a second map on top of the first.
